New Room: Dwarven Tavern
A brand new room unlocks at depth 4 — the Dwarven Tavern. Assign Tavernkeepers to reduce all hiring costs by 3% per worker, up to 45% with 15 workers.
The Tavern stacks additively with the Beast Den discount. Between the two rooms, you can push your total hiring discount up to a 90% combined cap — making late-game army building significantly cheaper.
The Tavern costs 2,000 ore, 200 blueprints, and 100 timber to build. It arrives early in progression to give you a meaningful economic boost heading into the mid-game.
Room Unlock Alerts
A flashing gold “NEW!” indicator now appears next to the MINE ROOMS header whenever you reach a depth that unlocks a new room you haven’t built yet. The flash disappears once you’ve built all available rooms — and reappears when you reach the next unlock depth.
No more scrolling through the room list wondering if something new showed up. The game tells you.
Dwarf Graveyard
Dragon raids now leave a mark. Every pickaxe dwarf killed by a dragon is permanently tracked across prestiges and ascensions. A procedural graveyard appears near the ore vein with small tombstones that grow with your lifetime losses — up to 20 visible stones in a 5x4 grid.
Each tombstone is unique: slightly rotated, varied sizes, and some topped with crosses. A counter below shows your total fallen dwarves. It’s a quiet memorial that makes dragon raids feel like they have real weight.
Hiring Discount Cleanup
All hiring cost displays — worker row, room panel, auto-buy — now correctly account for the combined Tavern + Beast Den discount. Previously, a few UI elements only showed the Beast Den discount. This is fixed across the board.
